I had kids pick a topic and research either an artist or an art career, then do a presentation or some art that showed understanding of the topic. This class is mostly ELL, SPED, and 504 kids. So I gave them some activities out of the “great artists” book I have.
We have a Paul Klee sculpture.
I had some kids that pick architecture as their topic, so I got a coliseum and a space needle.

In addition to the projects, I got a lot of power point presentations… which ~now~ I am wanting to discourage, because all they do is COPY stuff from the internet into them and don’t put a lot of thought into the content.
