WAEA Co-Presidents Mandy and I planned the second annual Leadership retreat. This 2 day retreat included lots of art viewing and making activities along with important strategic planning for the WAEA Organization and was held at Fort Worden in Port Townsend.

As incoming Co-Presidents, Mandy and I planned the first annual Leadership retreat. This 2 day retreat included lots of art viewing and making activities along with important strategic planning for the WAEA Organization.
All WAEA board members, committee chairs, ESD and division reps… plus anyone interested in serving in a leadership role in WAEA is invited to this weekend business and pleasure retreat. Business activities will include reviewing strategic plan, mission statement, by-laws, job descriptions and annual budget. ESD and Division reps will brainstorm outreach ideas. The co-Presidents will share out info from our D.C. training in July. All will help put with the finishing touches for fall conference planning. Pleasure activities will include night star viewing with astronomy experts, lunch at a mini Stonehenge and Museum visit with a special guest lecture. Wine tours and paint and sip. And… Plenty of time for getting to know your fellow board members.
