Final Reflections for 8th graders with the 2nd choice challenge of the semester.
I learned how to not give up when you make a mistake.
I learned that art takes time.
Hair dryers can burn you and crayons are hard to melt.
- I learned to never give up
- If you can’t find the right materials, be creative and use a substitute.
- Popsicle sticks are hard to cut when you already glued a bunch of them to something else.
How adding more of one color can change the lightness or darkness of a color
I learned you have to be patient to do things you want to make and not stress.
Shading really makes artwork come to life
- Melted crayon is really messy
- When doing stencils the more complicated, the cooler
- I learned on Photoshop that you can have textures, link up your layers and use an impressionism filter.
That you can paint your way out of any situation
The more you paint, the more you think
Don’t get suspended halfway through.
- I apparently can’t draw more than one tail.
- I learned to use jagged edges in my collage to make it more unique
- Layering paints helps colors pop
I learned you can use wax paper to prevent paint from getting everywhere
Artists have ups and downs
Time goes by fast
Great lessons learned this year! 🙂
